I was looking for sunshine, so I stepped outside,
the park where I laughed ‘til I cried,
Someone on my shoulder and said,
"Have you got the time?"
I said, "Yes, sir, it’s half-past a wonderful day!"
Heaven knows I'm joyful right now,
I was down, but I’m smiling now,
Heaven knows I'm joyful right now.
I was out on my bike ride, with the in my hair,
Feeling light as a feather, without care,
I passed by a café and they gave a treat,
Life’s a melody, it’s a dance in street!
In my heart, there’s a song,
And it’s here all along,
I was sad, I was lost,
I found where I belong.
So I looked at sunset, in a blaze of gold,
Thought of all the stories yet to be told,
For once in life, I felt so complete,
Life’s a beautiful journey, cheerful heartbeat!
Heaven knows I'm joyful right now
